As a member of the Illinois AFL-CIO Executive Board, I've had a front row seat to the legislative process here in Illinois. From being an active and influential participant in the statewide candidate endorsement process, to lobbying state legislators for the passage of our landmark Music & Musicians Tax Credit and Jobs Act, creating meaningful policy solutions for working musicians is of the utmost importance to me.

Now, I'm actively lobbying our representatives for the strengthened consumer protections for ticket buyers in the Illinois Junk Fee Ban. Other current legislative priorities include creating additional penalties in Illinois for creative worker employment misclassification, and working to end non-compete "radius" clauses in band touring contracts.
